Manchester United and Manchester City will face no action over an incident that took place in the tunnel after the derby on 10 December Jeff Locke Lions Jersey , the Football Association has said.

United boss Jose Mourinho had water and milk thrown at him and City coach Mikel Arteta suffered a cut head during a post-match row.

The FA said it considered evidence from "clubs and independent eyewitnesses".

Mourinho will also not face action from the FA over his pre-match comments.

However, the FA has reminded the Portuguese that any further public comments about match officials may result in disciplinary action.

The tunnel incident arose after what United viewed as an excessive celebration following City's 2-1 win at Old Trafford, which sent them 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

City's players celebrated in front of their fans after the final whistle.

After the players headed down the tunnel, it is understood that Mourinho made his feelings known outside the visitors' dressing room as he made his way to post-match interviews.

A one-pint milk carton - which had been in the City dressing room for tea and coffee - was thrown at Mourinho. The United manager did not get splattered but a member of his staff was.

City's Brazil goalkeeper Ederson and Mourinho exchanged angry words in Portuguese - but Mourinho carried out his post-match media engagements as normal and made no mention of the row.

Arteta was left with a cut after he was hit by a plastic drinks bottle Miles Killebrew Lions Jersey , but it is not known who threw it and sources from both clubs said no punches were thrown.

'If we offended United, I apologise'

Afterwards, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said he was sorry if his side's celebrations had offended Manchester United, but that his players "have to enjoy those moments".

"If we offended United - not just one player Anthony Zettel Lions Jersey , not Jose - Manchester United, then I apologise," the Spaniard said.

"We have to enjoy those moments. If the people cannot understand that then I'm sorry. We won a derby.

"If we were not correct than I apologise to all of Manchester United. Our intentions was not that. It was to celebrate inside the locker room."

Mourinho, meanwhile T.J. Lang Lions Jersey , said the incident was "a question of diversity in behaviour, diversity in education".

No action over Mourinho comments

The FA also asked the Manchester United boss to clarify comments he made before the derby.

In his pre-match news conference on the Friday before the game, Mourinho said the referee needed to be aware of City's "tactical fouling".

Mourinho suggested City players go to ground easily, saying: "A little bit of wind and they fall."

He added that he did not think he would be allowed to make a political statement on the touchline like Guardiola Darren Fells Lions Jersey , who has recently worn a yellow ribbon - a symbol of protest against the imprisonment of pro-independence politicians in the Spanish region of Catalonia.

But the FA said that, "following a review of the evidence provided by the club", it will take no formal action against Mourinho.(Agencies)

MADRID, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- FC Barcelona enjoyed an easy 4-0 win at home to Deportivo la Coruna on Sunday night to stretch their lead at the top of the Liga Santander to six points over second place Atletico Madrid Ricky Wagner Lions Jersey , eight over Valencia and 11 over Real Madrid, who didn't play this weekend as they were in the World Club Championship in Abu Dhabi.

Barca led 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Luis Suarez and Paullinho, before Suarez made it 3-0 soon after the break, Messi had a penalty saved and Paulinho netted his second after a Suarez shot hit the post and the final score would have been bigger if Messi hadn't hit the woodwork on three separate occasions.

The only setback for Barca was a muscle injury to Paco Alcacer means he will miss next weekend's Clasico against Real Madrid.

Fernando Torres scored the only goal of the game as Atletico Madrid moved to second place in the Liga Santander on Saturday night following a 1-0 win at home to Deportivo Alaves.

Torres' goal came 15 minutes from the end as Atletico struggled to break down a rival who remain in the relegation zone Greg Robinson Lions Jersey , but who have improved drastically in 3 matches under new coach Abelardo Fernandez.

Atletico's win took them above Valencia who fell to their second consecutive away defeat as they were beaten 2-1 away to Eibar in a rainy Ipurua Stadium.

Eibar worked tremendously hard and looked to pressure Valencia who had three key players out injured, high up the pitch. That pressure set up Takshi Inui for the opening goal four minutes after halftime.

Santi Mina's sixth goal of the season nine minutes later leveled the scores, but although Goncalo Guedes returned from injury as a substitute for Valencia, Eibar had the best chances in the closing minutes and Joan Jordan scored the winning goal three minutes from the end with a powerful header following Ivi Alejo's fine cross.

Girona's incredible season continued as they defeated Getafe 1-0 to move into contention for a place in Europe thanks to Cristian Stuani's fifth minute goal.

The Catalans' win momentarily lifted them into sixth place in the table Michael Roberts Lions Jersey , but that only lasted for four hours before Villarreal reclaimed the final European place with a 1-0 win away to Celta Vigo.

Both sides were missing key players, but Celta suffered without Spain international Iago Aspas and Pablo Fornals' first ever goal for Villarreal was enough to give them all three points.

Espanyol looked to be cruising to an away victory as they led 2-0 away to struggling Las Palmas with just 13 minutes remaining only to allow the home side to draw level through Loric Remi and Calleri and Las Palmas would have won had it not been for Pau Lopez's stunning 96th minute save to deny a Jonathan Viera penalty.

Looking for High.
